  1. Q: Can I place a scooter reservation over the phone?

    A: Yes!!

  2. Q: What exactly comes with a standard scooter rental?

    A: All scooters come with a basket and charger except for the Go-Chair it only comes with a charger.
  3. Q: Can I pickup the scooter from your warehouse or will you deliver to my hotel or home?

    A: Currently Scootarama does not allow pickup at the warehouse but we do deliver to all Disney, Universal, International Drive, and Airport hotels/resorts located in Orlando or Kissimmee.

    Free delivery and pick up with advance reservations (24hrs) in our local delivery areas. There is a one time $40 charge for all home & condo deliveries.

  4. Q: How will I know my reservation is complete?

    A: You will recieve an order number when your credit card is processed.

  5. Q: Can I cancel my reservation?

    A: Yes, please review our refund and cancellation policy on the reservation page.

  6. Q: Will I be charged a deposit for the scooter rental equipment?

    A: No, but in the rental agreement you accept all responsibilities for any damages to the rental equipment outside of normal wear and tear while in your possession.

  7. Q: When do you run the charges on my card?

    A: Your credit card is verified and charged real time when you complete your online purchase or rental.
  8. Q: What happens if my scooter rental breaks down in the parks?

    A: You must call Scootarama immediately we will then troubleshoot the problem over the phone to determine if it's something simple like a reset, if it is mechanical error and the scooter is non operable we will replace or repair the scooter.
  9. Q: Where do I pickup my scooter from when I arrive at my hotel?

    A: Once you arrive at your hotel or resort the scooter usually will be at bell services (luggage room) or the front desk. Certain Disney World Resorts require that we deliver the scooter directly to the guest, if this is the case simply indicate what time you want the scooter delivered and picked up.
  10. Q: Are you an "Featured Provider" of Walt Disney World to deliver to their resorts?

    A: Scootarama can deliver and pickup scooters from all Walt Disney World hotels and resorts as long as we deliver them to the guest and pick them up from the guest. We are not currently involved in profit sharing with Walt Disney World. With that being said we'd rather discount our prices for guest staying at Walt Disney World resorts so that they keep more money in their wallets!
  11. Q: How long will my scooter last before I will have to recharge the batteries?

    A: The battery life of the scooter depends on different calculations most important is the weight of the user. A person who is for instance 150 pds will get more battery life than a person weighing 300 pds. The terrain and age of the batteries also play a part in the overall life of the battery.

    Our batteries tend to last all day and even at the max weight you should be able to get between 7-10hrs of use. We also recommend that you take the battery charger to the park on your first day of rental this way if your batteries are subpar you could at least charge them at the theme park to last the rest of day then you could notify ScootaRama so that we can exchange the defective batteries at your hotel or home.
  12. Q: Can all of your scooters break down easily to fit into the trunk of a car or van?

    A: This answer is tricky especially if you take what the manufacture says into consideration. The Pride Revo and Go-Chair can fit easily into the trunk of a mid-size car or larger. The heavy duty "Pride Maxima" on the other hand is not easy to dissassemble.

    ScootaRama DOES NOT recommend renting the heavy duty scooter if you plan on transporting it to and from the theme parks. Unless of course you have two or three really fit individuals who could lift the scooter fully assembled into the rear of a mini van or SUV with the third row seats totally removed or folded down.
  13. Q: What time do you deliver and pickup the scooter rentals?

    A: You choose your pickup and delivery times.
  14. Q: How do I know if my battery charger is working or that the battery is fully charged?

    A: Please charge your scooter every night regardless of use (red and yellow lights indicates charging; green light indicates the battery is fully charged).

    We charge $50 to exchange batteries inside the parks for people who do not properly charge their batteries (no charge to replace batteries with faulty cells or charger). Please remember when charging the batteries separatley from the scooter make sure both batteries are connected, you can not charge one battery at a time!

    Please check your battery charge BEFORE you go to the parks not after you get in the park,also we recommend you take your charger to the parks with you. You would hate have to leave the park and go back to your hotel room just to charge your battery because you didn't check your charge before going to the parks.
