The build-up to the debut of two major theme-park additions will include livestreaming of ceremonial events this week. Anyone can tune in for the grand opening of Universal’s Volcano Bay water park and the dedication of Pandora — The World of Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Neither event is open to the public.
The Pandora ceremony will be Wednesday at 9:25 a.m. It can be seen via livestreaming on the official Disney World Scooter Rentals.
Among the celebrities expected to be in attendance is James Cameron, director of “Avatar,” the 2009 film that inspired the new Disney land.
Universal Orlando will share its opening day festivities on Thursday, starting at 8 a.m. Its livestream will be available via Twitter and YouTube. A link will appear on Universal’s official blog.
The Volcano Bay webcast will include entertainment from the event plus the back story of the park from Dale Mason, vice president and executive art director for Universal Creative. Viewers can also see a cooking demonstration by chef Robert Martinez Jr. about the Volcano Bay food options.
Universal says the webcast will feature a chance to win tickets to the water park.
